Ruttlemush is songwriter/poet Seamus Ruttledge.

 

The new album from Seamus Ruttledge is released as Ruttlemush and is Ruttledge’s 4th Studio Album.

 

The album is titled strange - and is a collaboration with music producer Axel Grude.

 

strange was recorded over two years at songcraft studios - which is nestled in beautifull wild countryside in north County Galway in the west of Ireland.

 

This new album emerged  from the re-imagining of Seamus Ruttledge’s songs and poetic lyrics by producer Axel Grude.

 

Grude took Ruttledge’s original and unique songs on an expanded musical journey and nurtured them down a new an more soulfull ambient direction to reflect the power of Ruttledge’s songs and poetry.

 

The producer also worked creatively with the brilliant melodies conceived by Ruttledge - and with the songwriter’s powerfull Vocal ability - which at times steers this new album into evocative and beautifull places

 

Strange is also informed by producer Axel Grude’s own musical journey - from being a classically trained piano player and orchestral arranger - to his love of eclectic styles like french impressionism, baroque, prog rock, and scandinavian jazz.

 

According to Seamus Ruttledge, he chose Axel Grude for his 4th studio Album because of his masterfull command as a classical musician - and his wide and varied influences across a variety of music genres.

 

According to writer Charlie Adley strange is a paean to the finding of beauty amid the ruins of loss and separation”.

 

 

Musicians who contributed to strange are - Rick Harris Mikey Ivory, Gerry McHugh, Axel Grude, Lana Ritt, James Muldowney.
